It's about time!!!

It seems as though there is never enough time to email, update blogs, pay bills, surf the Internet, cook dinner, tend to kids, and household duties. It amazes me all the time at how quickly the time passes. It seems like yesterday I was just sitting down and posting the last update. Although, I can clearly see it wasn't just yesterday.

So, let's see if I can recap the past few months. The twins are growing well and I love to just sit back and watch them interact with one another. So here are their stats: Avery - 35.5" tall and 28 lbs, Amaya - 32 3/4" tall and 22 lbs.

Christmas just passed and they were very spoiled kids. They received lots of toys, clothes, books and DVDs. They both talk a lot!!! And repeat most of everything they hear.

We have all been pretty healthy besides a cold here and there we may just end the year without any sickness! (fingers crossed)

We are sad to see 2008 go, but are thankful to see 2009 is just around the corner! We hope to have many blessings in the next year!!!!

Updates

Well, it has been tough as you can see for me to update the blog lately. Avery and Amaya are quickly growing as well as their vocabulary. Amaya loves talk and she walks around with her hands on her hips bopping her head. She get so amused with herself. Avery just loves playing and if there is a ball in the area he is happy.

There really isn't a lot to update you on although, it has been months so I probably will leave something out.

They have been playing at the park bunches and Avery likes the slide and Amaya just watches, where she loves to swing. They both love the teeter totter style rides. Their Grandma and Grandpa Cooper bought them a sandbox and they love playing in the sand. Anything to get messy I suppose!!!

I'm not sure how tall they are, but they appear average height. Avery is several inches taller than Amaya. Avery is about 25lbs and Amaya is around 17lbs.

They both have become little chatterboxes and very amusing. Bath time is so much fun. They just don't stop giggling!

Well, that's all for now. I'll post some pictures soon.

Just Another Day

I am glad to finally be able to see the grass even though it all looks nasty and soggy from the snow melting and the rain.
The kids have been surviving their ear infections like little troopers. So let's see what has happened in the past few weeks.

First, Amaya went for another treatment on her birthmark. (It is looking so much smaller) She has been scratching at it and irritating it and the treatment seems to be helping. Then a couple of days later Avery got sick. The little guy was still in pretty good spirits even though he had an ear infection. He took his round of medicine and then a week later Amaya was sick and it turned out that she had a double ear infection and Avery still had his ear infection. They were put on a higher strength antibiotic and apparently both had a reaction to it. So needless to say, that was another trip to the doctors office. They changed their medicine to something a bit easier on their tummies. We are still in the midst of their cycle of medicine, but so far everything is looking good and no more vomiting! I am tired of cleaning vomit out of my car everyday for the past few weeks. Ugh!!!!!!! And to top it all off Buck was sick during the same time. So it seemed to be a huge puke fest at home between the kids and Buck. Buck has been treated and is doing much better.

Second, they went for their 16month visit and received a few vaccinations and their ears are looking good after a few days on the medicine. The only down side is that they both lost weight. They are steadily putting the weight back on. Avery is 24lbs and 30 inches tall and Amaya is 15lbs and 29 inches tall. They are growing fast and pretty healthy.
Third, Amaya finally graduated to her big girl car seat--although she is still rear facing. She was too tall for her infant carrier, but still met the weight requirements. Now she is in a convertible car seat like her bub, Avery. Avery graduated to forward facing and absolutely loves it. Amaya may get to go forward facing by her 2nd birthday. :-)
Finally, they both look like they are pros at walking. Amaya has quite the vocabulary and she attempts to repeat everything she hears. Avery has a few words and is not as vocal as his sister, but he talks when he has something to say or a point to make. He loves the word ball and he likes throwing and bouncing the rubber balls. He likes books and climbing. He also enjoys cutting the rug--much better than his dad. Although, he has no patience and gets frustrated very easily. Who does that remind you of? Hmmmm........................ He will be some competition for his auntie Tara when he gets big enough to play Dance Revolution. ;-) Amaya enjoys much of the same as Avery, but she is easily entertained by the small things. She can sit for an hour in the same place and play with the same toy. She enjoys climbing as well and music. She likes walking in circles and talking. She also loves to eat just like her bub.
Sam and I are just trying to keep our sanity and stay awake. With sick kids, work, Buck, school and whatever else there is we just keep busy!!!!! How did we ever manage before children????? I know we slept and sat down for more than a minute!!! I can't even remember the last movie we saw at a theater.
I posted a few pictures from St. Patty's Day and other days. ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blizzard, etc.

So it seems like the perfect day to update the blog. Besides shoveling snow and catching up on house chores it seemed perfect what else is there to do on a snowed in day. It has been some time since I have had the opportunity to update the site with our hectic life.

Enjoy the pictures!

First Haircut

Today they received their first haircuts. Although, Amaya did not have much hair to cut she just got a little trim; therefore, can we really call this her first haircut????

As far as Avery, he had quite a bit more hair to trim. Avery was such a big boy and he only cried a couple of times. I think the trimmer buzzing scared him a little, but he quickly got over it and flashed many smiles and a giggle or two.

It is hard to believe how he changed in the instance of a haircut. In my eyes, he doesn't look older. He is just cute as ever. He looks like he got his hair cut and his face is a little bit fuller.

They both loved the little cars they got to sit in while getting their hair cut. They got to play while their hair was cut. They received certificates and everything with a photo and some of their hair.

I placed some previous pictures on here as well.

Enjoy the pictures!!

Oh, Santa!!!

We took them to see Santa and have their picture taken. Avery was a smiling baby as usual. Amaya was not happy. She started crying about 5 minutes before it was our turn. I managed to get her to stop for about 15 seconds and they snapped another picture. Because the first picture was her crying. Now Avery wanted to pull Santa's hair, hat and beard. Needless to say it was still fun! Although, Amaya cried for hours after the Santa visit. I think two little girls accidently pinched her fingers and that started it all. Then she was tired and hungry and so tired that she wouldn't eat only cry. We thought at some point she would eventually take a nap, but to no avail. But the next day she took an extra long 3hr nap.

Christmas Portraits

So, we went to get our Christmas photos. Avery was such a ham for the camera, whereas Amaya seemed petrified of eveyone and we could barely get a smile of of her. Of course after the pictures were done she was happy and giggly. Here is a preview of our Christmas portraits.
