First Haircut

Today they received their first haircuts. Although, Amaya did not have much hair to cut she just got a little trim; therefore, can we really call this her first haircut????

As far as Avery, he had quite a bit more hair to trim. Avery was such a big boy and he only cried a couple of times. I think the trimmer buzzing scared him a little, but he quickly got over it and flashed many smiles and a giggle or two.

It is hard to believe how he changed in the instance of a haircut. In my eyes, he doesn't look older. He is just cute as ever. He looks like he got his hair cut and his face is a little bit fuller.

They both loved the little cars they got to sit in while getting their hair cut. They got to play while their hair was cut. They received certificates and everything with a photo and some of their hair.

Oh, Santa!!!

We took them to see Santa and have their picture taken. Avery was a smiling baby as usual. Amaya was not happy. She started crying about 5 minutes before it was our turn. I managed to get her to stop for about 15 seconds and they snapped another picture. Because the first picture was her crying. Now Avery wanted to pull Santa's hair, hat and beard. Needless to say it was still fun! Although, Amaya cried for hours after the Santa visit. I think two little girls accidently pinched her fingers and that started it all. Then she was tired and hungry and so tired that she wouldn't eat only cry. We thought at some point she would eventually take a nap, but to no avail. But the next day she took an extra long 3hr nap.

Christmas Portraits

So, we went to get our Christmas photos. Avery was such a ham for the camera, whereas Amaya seemed petrified of eveyone and we could barely get a smile of of her. Of course after the pictures were done she was happy and giggly. Here is a preview of our Christmas portraits.

Happy Turkey Day!!!!

Avery and Amaya had lots of fun eating their Thanksgiving dinner--without the turkey! As you will be able to see from the pictures they (meaning mostly Avery) made a big mess. This year they were able to participate more than last year. Not much to do when you are only a couple months old.
They provided us lots of entertainment. Avery attempts to get into as much trouble as possible. He wants to get into everything. Amaya on the other hand is usually pretty content with toys in front of her or showing off her standing ability.

They are not walking yet, but we are not rushing them. They are getting more and more teeth. I think Avery is at 10 teeth and Amaya is at 10 or 11.

Learning to feed Buck!!!!

So Avery has learned how to feed Buck. He will just drop his food off the high chair onto the floor and Buck quickly scurries over to eat whatever it is. So far Amaya wants to eat all of her food and not give any away to Buck. Buck will be lying down underneath them just wanting for them to give him something.

I just thought it was so cute! I caught a couple of pictures.

We have been dealing with colds and teething so hopefully the weekend will be the end of the colds. Teething and/or a cold alone is fine, but together it just makes them so miserable. They aren't able to sleep very well at night because they are congested and their mouth hurts. It looks like Amaya is getting one of her molars, but she is being a trooper.

Bath Time...........

So Avery and Amaya were being extra cute after their bath this evening. I snapped a few photos after the bath. They were crawling on one another and giggling and screaming. They are now quietly in bed after only a little protesting. Avery was so sleepy that he was fighting going to bed. Peace and quiet for a few hours........................
